GEOLOGISTS – PROJECT ROLES

Location: Queensland
Our client is a dynamic team of experienced resource consultants who provide a diverse range of exploration services to the resources industry. Their clients range from small start-up companies to the largest mining houses in the world.
Due to recent contracts being awarded in Queensland, there is a need for experienced geologists who possess the following;  

• Geology/Geoscience degree or related discipline

• Current Driver’s Licence for a manual vehicle

• Coal Mining Safety and Health Act qualifications QLD

• Live in Emerald or Central QLD

The preferred applicants will have:

• Min 1 – 5 Years Experience of coal geology encompassing all relevant aspects of coal quality and utilisation.

• Experience in a mining environment is desirable but not essential

• Experience in the Bowen Basin is desirable but not essential

• Knowledge of current safety legislation under which they are working and specific obligations under the legislation relevant to the position held.

• A strong commitment to Safety.

• Solid understanding of gas desorption testing and sampling; tabulation of coal quality exploration data.

• Understanding of the principles and importance of data QA/QC, relevant to exploration.

• Strong organisational, problem solving and planning skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
